3i announces eight new hires and three senior promotions in its Private Equity team

3i announces the hire of Sander Ruijter as a Director in its Benelux team, seven Associates across its international offices and three senior promotions in its Private Equity business, reflecting another successful year for the team.

Sander Ruijter will join as a Director based in Amsterdam. Sander was previously a Managing Partner at Gate Invest, a Dutch mid-market private equity firm which he co-founded in 2016. Sander brings 13 years’ experience, having previously worked in the Benelux advisory team at Rothschild in London from 2006 to 2016.

The following seven Associates have joined 3i’s Private Equity teams across Europe and North America over the past few months:

• Juliette Grognet, Paris
• Charlie Kickham, London
• Stephanie Handley, New York
• Connor Rossner, New York
• Jerin Thomas, New York

In addition, the following three investment professionals in the Private Equity business have been promoted to Director:

• Rowena Gracey, London
• Nikhil Patel, New York
• Bastiaan Peer, Amsterdam

Pieter de Jong and Peter Wirtz, Managing Partners and Co-Heads of Private Equity, commented:

In the year ended 31 March 2019, the Private Equity business realised £1,235m (gross of the reinvestment in Scandlines) and invested £332m of proprietary capital.
