Arun Nanda appointed Chairman, 3i India

3i today announces the appointment of Arun Nanda as non-executive Chairman of its Indian business.

Arun brings in-depth knowledge of the region, broad insights into the Indian business landscape and an extensive network of relationships. This is a high profile appointment which reinforces our commitment to managing our existing investments and maximising value for our shareholders and the limited partners in our funds.

Arun brings more than 40 years experience with Mahindra & Mahindra, India''s leading utility vehicle and tractor manufacturer with a strong focus on values and ethics. Arun held a number of senior positions across various divisions of Mahindra & Mahindra including in investment, strategic planning and infrastructure. As Infrastructure Sector President, he led Mahindra & Mahindra’s entry into the infrastructure and services sector where he was responsible for the formation of a number of companies including in construction, leisure, property development and in infrastructure privatisation projects.

Arun currently holds a number of non-executive roles with Mahindra & Mahindra companies, including non-executive chairman of Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Limited and is a non-executive chairman of Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited.
