3i-backed Beijing Digital Telecom Co., Ltd in Hong Kong IPO

3i Group plc notes today’s successful IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange of Beijing Digital Telecom Co., Ltd, China's largest mobile telecommunications chain store in terms of sales volume in 2013. The approximate implied valuation of the company based on the offer price per share is HK$3.5bn.

Beijing Digital Telecom Co., Ltd offered a total of 166,667,000 shares under the Global Offering, raising total net proceeds of approximately HK$796.6 million before the exercise of the greenshoe. 3i did not sell any shares as part of the IPO. Following the IPO, 3i will hold an approx. 13% stake in Beijing Digital Telecom Co., Ltd.  

3i, and funds managed by 3i, invested approx. RMB 107m in Beijing Digital Telecom Co., Ltd in June 2007.
