This means that CHC can be sure that its grants are going to people who really need their help and that the money will be spent correctly. By providing its grants this way, CHC also knows that its beneficiaries are receiving the other support that they need to rebuild their lives.

Each year, CHC helps over 3,000 individuals, ensuring that every person they support receives personalised attention and care. Help is available to everyone, regardless of their gender, sexuality, race or religion.

CHC recognises that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to homelessness. That is why the charity offers flexible grants which address the specific needs of each individual. CHC’s aim is to provide timely support, ensuring that grants are delivered within days of application.

The grants cover essential items that can significantly improve a person's quality of life, such as clothing, toiletries, and household essentials.

In addition to individual grants, CHC also supports group activities within homelessness schemes. These activities foster self-esteem, confidence and social connection among residents. From cooking and gardening to music therapy and day trips, the goal is to create a supportive and enriching environment.

In 2023/2024, CHC gave c.£300,000 in grants to people who were homeless.
