Alec joined 3i in 2015, based in 3i's North American Private Equity team. He focuses primarily on software and tech-enabled services with a focus on new investments in IT services, supply chain software, ERP, digital commerce, and infrastructure software. He also spends time in marketplaces and consumer.

Alec has been involved in 3i’s platform investments in xSuite, RedWeek, Wilson, MPM, Magnitude Software and Dynatect, as well as our minority investment in insightsoftware. He is currently a Board Director for Wilson and RedWeek.

Prior to 3i, Alec was a management consultant at Bain & Company where he worked in the private equity group and for corporate clients across a variety of sectors. Alec graduated as a Robertson Scholar from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University, where he earned a BS in Business Administration and BA in Economics.
